The Minis: Paige Auber - Blogger and Barista - Portland, ME
Hi Paige! Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Paige E. Auber and I am a 23 year old believer, traveler, blogger and coffee brat / barista. Whether it be enjoying the comfort of my home city in Rochester, New York or traveling somewhere new, my greatest passion are the people I meet along the way. Jesus, my wonderful husband, lots of wildflower, 70's vintage, pouring cappuccinos, tacos and vinyl are a few of my favorite things.
You just moved into a new, beautiful space! What does your ideal home environment look like?
Moving into a new space has been such a treat - the natural light and white walls allow for the perfect blank canvas. Plants of all shapes and sizes, pops of color, mid-century modern furniture and candles in every room is my ideal environment to be in!
You're a fellow plant lover, can you tell us about some of your favorite plant babies?
So many plant babies! My favorite has to be our 50+ lbs cactus, it looks glorious in our living room and I know it'll be apart of our home for so many years to come. I also have a whole lot of love for our jade & spider plants - they have so much character and add such natural beauty to our place.
What are some of your favorite women run brands that we should know about?
I have so many brands that inspire me run by incredible woman! The infamous 'Glossier' run by Emily Weiss has its killer skincare / makeup line with that flawless packaging, the colorful retro inspired clothing brand 'Lyyke Wullf' by the lovely Jemma Swatek and the online shop 'Shop Goodwin' which features over two dozen woman-run businesses like Mica DeMarquez's 'Mimi Ceramics' based in Portland, Oregon. All of these women have a knack for taking the love for their craft to the next level.
What does your ideal Sunday look like?
An ideal Sunday would be home made fresh pour over, church and brunch with my love, followed by a walk or hike somewhere relaxing and finish up with cooking dinner and drinking wine with a face mask on (of course).
What are a few of your favorite places in and around Rochester?
Rochester is truly an incredible city and continues to grow so much every year! Some of my favorite spots are Highland Park with all the blossoming trees and lilac bushes, The Lamberton Conservatory filled with all those glorious plants, and of course the top of the High Falls parking garage where you can see a killer view of the city. We are also blessed with an excellent coffee community, which I am proud to be a part of!
